Cognitive Hypnotherapy & Coaching
What is it?
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an evidence-based, modern approach. It works by using a combination of some elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, Evolutionary Psychology, Counselling, Gestalt, Hypnosis and Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP).
Cognitive Hypnotherapy has been used in a study published by the Mental Health Review Journal in 2015 for anxiety and depression, where 71% of the participants moved to recovery, versus 42% recovery when using other approaches.
We are all unique and the way we experience the World is different for each of us, and so is how I treat anybody I work with, unique. All sessions are tailored to you, as well as the length. Some people only need 3 sessions and others benefit from more. Cognitive Hypnotherapy works with how you experience the World.
There are no pocket watches involved and you are always in control. I believe that trance is an everyday state and if you ever experienced going from home to work without remembering the actual route, that is a real-life example of trance.
Private Cognitive Hypnotherapy
We work together to rewire your brain, to help you achieve what you are looking for. Learning more about yourself. Because all behaviour has a positive intention; and the brain is always trying to protect us; we need to reprogramme the brain to learn how to react to some situations.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy believes in the body-mind connection and the effect that the mind can have in our bodies as well as the effect of our bodies in our mind. That is why, when working together, we have a holistic approach.
Laura is a great hypnotherapist – so gentle but also firm and empowering in her approach. The work went so deep so easily, that is was very effective, big shifts happening in a small amount of time. THANK YOU Laura!

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Hypnosis work?
It is a relaxed state where allows your unconscious mind to be accessed. It is a natural state of mind that we use to make suggestions.
Will I loose control?
You will always be in control and you can’t be made to do something you would normally not do.
Can I get stuck in hypnosis?
Absolutely no. You will always be in control.
How many sessions will I need?
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a brief therapy, there are no right number of sessions as each individual is unique as their needs.
How can a mind be reprogrammed?
Once we understand the plasticity of the brain, and how we re-imagine our experiences; I will tailor the programme to work with techniques that could work best with your World, which would also include audio recordings with personalised suggestions.
